Privacy Policy
Draft of 20 October 2026
QuickJob Now is a service of Qliqlo Lab Inc. ("we"), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect when independent handymen use the QuickJob Now app and when their customers use QuickJob Now booking pages, portals and messages, why we collect it, and who we share it with.
Who this applies to
- Handymen who sign up for the QuickJob Now app to run their business.
- Customers who send a request through a handyman's booking page or receive quotes, invoices and messages from a handyman.
Each handyman runs their own independent business and decides how to use their customers' information. For the customer information that handymen manage in QuickJob Now, we process it on the handyman's behalf.
What we collect
- Handyman accounts: email address, or the name and email shared by Sign in with Apple or Google; business name, booking-link name, logo, service area, time zone, language, services and prices.
- Customer requests and records: name, phone number, email address, job address, job notes, photos, preferred times, requests, quotes, invoices, payments recorded and messages.
- Technical information: app and server logs, device and browser type, and a cookie that remembers the website language you chose.
Why we use it
- To provide the service: booking pages, requests, quotes, scheduling, invoices, payments and messages.
- To translate notes and messages between English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese (see below).
- To send transactional emails and app notifications, keep the service secure, fix problems and support you.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Translation by a provider outside Canada
So that handymen and customers can understand each other, the text of job notes, messages, quote and invoice notes and free-text line items, and (if the handyman turns it on) service names and descriptions, is sent to a third-party translation provider, DeepSeek. DeepSeek processes and stores this text on servers outside Canada, including in China, where it is subject to local law, including access by authorities.
Only note text is sent. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, photos and payment details are never sent; phone numbers and email addresses typed into notes are removed before sending. The original text is always kept and shown alongside the translation. [To confirm: DeepSeek's data retention and whether API data is used for training; whether customers can opt out of translation (PRD §20).]
Service providers we use
- Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, in Canada) and Vercel (website hosting).
- DeepSeek (translation, outside Canada including China, as described above).
- Email delivery and app notifications (for example Postmark and Expo); Apple and Google for sign-in.
- Later: Stripe for card payments and RevenueCat with Apple and Google for subscriptions.
Some of these providers process information outside Canada. When we transfer information across borders, we use contracts and other measures to protect it, as required by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). [To confirm: Quebec Law 25 privacy impact assessment, if we serve Quebec.]
How long we keep it
[To confirm: retention and deletion periods for accounts, customer records and photos (PRD §20).]
